Ten bridges in the Southwest District are among the first to receive improvements as part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

In Bates County, the bridges include:

• Route D over Stewart Creek

In Dade County, the bridges include:

• Route O over Turnback Creek
• Route Z over Limestone Creek
• Route Z over Glass Hollow Branch
• Route N over Fork of Muddy Creek

In Jasper County, the bridges include:

• Route O over Buck Branch

In Newton County, the bridges include:

• Route W over Shoal Creek

In St. Clair County, the bridges include:

• Route B over Campbell Branch

In Vernon County, the bridges include:

• Route M over Ladies Branch
• Route WW over Townsend Slough
