2010-2014 Statewide Highway & Bridge Construction Schedule

   The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of Nov. 23-25, 2009.  Scheduled construction and maintenance operations affecting traffic will cease for the Thanksgiving holiday during the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 25.  Work will resume on Monday, November 30. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected.

MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Benton County

Daylight Hours

Route 65, 1.75 miles south of Route HH to north of Route H in Lincoln – Grading and drainage work to widen the highway to five lanes.  One northbound or southbound lane may be closed during the work. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in fall 2010.

Route 65 over the Lake of the Ozarks, just north of Route 83 in Warsaw – Bridge deck replacement continues through late fall.  The contractor will cease work during the winter months and resume early spring 2010. Completion of the project is scheduled for summer 2010.  No lane closures during the winter months.

Route 83 at the Big Pomme Bridge over the Truman Reservoir – Bridge work continues through late fall.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 7 over the Osage Arm of the Truman Reservoir, located east of Route KK – Bridge deck replacement continues through late fall.  A temporary traffic signal is in place to move vehicles through the work area.  The contractor will cease work during winter months and resume early spring 2010 with completion of the project scheduled for summer 2010.  No lane closures are expected during the winter months.

Boone County

Daylight Hours

Route 63 between Route 763 and Hinton Road – Concrete replacement in the southbound lanes will take place on Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24.  One southbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.

Route 763 between Big Bear Blvd. and Prathersville Road in Columbia – Roadway widening.

    * Pavement marking, permanent signs and concrete median work continues from Smiley Lane to the roundabout.

    * Brown School Road east will continue to be narrowed to ten feet.

    * One lane in each direction will be open to traffic between Big Bear Boulevard and the Prathersville Road roundabout.

    * The roadway between American Parkway and Route VV in various locations is narrowed to ten feet.

The project is expected to be complete in late 2009.

Callaway County

Daylight Hours

Route D over Interstate 70 – Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Interstate 70 North Outer Road over Maddox Branch Creek - Bridge deck repair will take place on Monday, Nov. 23. One northbound lane will be open to traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours

Route AA between Russellville city limits and the Miller County line– Roadway patching will take place Monday, Nov. 23 through Wednesday, Nov. 25.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route A between Route AA and the Moniteau County line – Roadway patching will take place Monday, Nov. 23 through Wednesday, Nov. 25.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cooper County

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route M bridge over the Chouteau Creek, two miles south of Interstate 70 – Bridge deck replacement continues through late fall. The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction. Motorists will be detoured to Routes M, 135 and OO.  This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 17 at the Osage River Bridge – Grading and drainage work for the new bridge construction. This project is expected to be complete in fall 2010.

Daylight Hours

Route 50 east of Route E to Route K – Grading and paving work for new four-lane highway.

   * Traffic on existing Route 50 west of California has been diverted to a new connection. The connection will remain in place until the project is complete. No traffic delays can be expected.

This project is expected to be complete in summer 2010.

Pettis County

Daylight Hours

Route MM, two miles north of Route 50 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, Nov. 23 through Wednesday, Nov. 25.  One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route U, at the Spring Fork Creek Bridge - Bridge deck repair will take place on Tuesday Nov. 24. One lane will be open to traffic through the work area.

Daylight/Overnight Hours

Route 50 between Route MM and the Johnson County line – Roadway resurfacing in the eastbound and westbound lanes will continue through late fall.  One lane in each direction will be open through the work area.
