Rudolph E. Farber

Rudolph E. Farber

Rudolph E. Farber was appointed to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission on March 19, 2007 by Gov. Matt Blunt. His term will expire March 1, 2013.

A resident of Neosho, Farber is the first Newton County resident to serve on the Commission.

Farber is chairman of the board of Community Bank & Trust where he has worked since 1957. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwestern University and a master's in business administration from Columbia University.

From 1963 to 1967 Farber served in the United States Navy as a Navy Exchange Officer in Atsugi, Japan.

Farber also has a long list of accomplishments as a civic leader. He has served as Chairman of the Freeman Southwest Family YMCA Finance Committee, Chairman of Neosho Area of Commerce Industrial Development Committee. He has been a board member on several City of Neosho and Newton County Committees and is the past president of the Neosho Rotary, the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce, the Neosho Land Development and the Neosho Are Business and Industrial Foundation.

He also serves on the Board of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Board of the Hawthorn Foundation.

Farber and his wife, Dorothy, have two children and four grandchildren.
